The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs
Master of Arts in Media and Strategic Communication, Summa Cum Laude
Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication, Magna Cum Laude
Special distinction: Women’s Leadership in International Politics
I’m originally from Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta whose personality featured a delicate balance of southern hospitality and political and religious zeal that cultivated my ability to create community and fueled my passion for public service. Finding familiarity in the tight-knit nature of Washington, D.C., I came here for college at GW and never left.
I sharpened my innate leadership abilities at GW, where I served as Vice President of Programming and President of the Panhellenic Association, as Senator for the Student Association, and as University Justice in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (to name a few). My student activism transcended campus boundaries and took me to Capitol Hill to advocate for gender equity and into the greater Washington community to serve several area nonprofits in partnership with the organizations I led on campus.
Since then, I’ve brought my skills to diverse industries from media to management, motivated most by the relationships I’m a pro at building, as I connect people across backgrounds, skills, and functions to solve big problems. I’m currently helping launch a new social venture dedicated to the advancement of American democracy. Beyond my “day job,” I am p
resident of Jewish Women International’s Young Women’s Impact Network, a Trustee on the Board of the George Washington University, and the founder and facilitator of a women’s issue collaborative. I’m sought-after for my reputation leading effective teams, telling an organization’s story, and helping an organization expand in the marketplace.
