Audience Engagement Specialist
As the sole member of POLITICO Live's team devoted entirely to audience engagement, I pioneered our engagement strategy and creative content development for our multimillion-dollar portfolio of news, policy, and social events. Within four months, I more than tripled newsletter readership for our "Women Rule" vertical, and forged partnerships in emerging markets to expand the community from Washington, DC, to three new cities. I cultivated influencer communities around sponsored industry verticals and collaborated across product, revenue, and data departments to identify and engage top influencers. After seven months with POLITICO Live, I was promoted to cultivate similar engagement for the broader organization in the communications and marketing department. There, I increased nationwide brand awareness of POLITICO products, established new media partnerships to promote our brand, content, and top newsroom talent, and elevated airtime of our initiatives in local and national media.

organizing + advocacy consultant
Before all eyes turned to Georgia as we elected the first Black and first Jewish Senators from the peach state in January 2021, I knew that progress in my home state depended on mobilizing previously disengaged coalitions of voters. In lieu of my master’s thesis, I embedded with a group of women in metro-Atlanta to study their civic engagement and develop a strategic communications plan and operational roadmap to transform an online community into a pillar of Georgia’s Democratic party grassroots infrastructure. In the heat of the race to flip GA-06 from a Republican stronghold (and the highest educated congressional district in the country to vote for Trump in 2016), I formulated a strategy grounded in digital and political organizing theory, supplemented with communications tactics to equip suburban women as organizers, surrogates, and political leaders in metro-Atlanta. Four years later, notably red strongholds are now being described by national outlets as “solidly blue” counties.

public affairs, office of national drug control policy
Enthusiastic about the intersection of public health and policy communications, I increased national press coverage and pioneered digital storytelling initiatives to showcase the personal journeys and successes of Americans in recovery from drug addiction. As the opioid crisis gained nationwide attention under President Obama's leadership, our public affairs work helped de-stigmatize addiction and coordinate drug enforcement agencies, mental health services, local governments, and medical providers to work together to combat opioid abuse and overdoses.
HILLARY FOR AMERICA
COMMUNICATIONS FELLOW
As a staunch advocate for women's political representation and leadership, I spent the summer of my master's program supporting Secretary Clinton's campaign for president. I supported the communications, digital, and organizing teams in connecting with voters and elevating their stories. I authored and placed opinion pieces and press briefing material, and coordinated press advance at events across Ohio.
